I am currently responsible for assembling the final product as a sequence consisting of shots from raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, transitions and graphics. A key role in the post-production process, our department determines the quality and delivery of the final product. Duties include: • receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list,; • assembling all raw footage, with the camera shots captured and transferred onto the computer; • inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronising and storing them into files on computer; • digitally cutting the files to determine the sequence of the film and determining what is usable; • creating a 'rough cut' of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages; • making adjustments to the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video. 16-10-07 to October 2007 – TRELLEBORG AUTOMOTIVE (12 MONTH CONTRACT) Trelleborg is a world leader in the development and manufacture of polymer based components and systems used for noise and vibration damping for passenger cars, light and heavy trucks, rail, marine and industrial applications. I was approached by the Company in August 2006 and asked if I would re-join the company. Trading of the business closed in mid 2007. Duties included: • Advising the SMT (Senior Management Team) and Operations Director of impending changes to Health & Safety legislation. • Manage the Health & Safety Management Systems and Budgets • Arrange for Health, Safety and Environmental training in conjunction with HR department to meet employees and company needs. • Manage ISO 14001 Environmental Management System • Support GOOD HOUSEKEEPING in the factory. • Manage the activities of the Environmental Control Assistant to ensure that the correct waste streams were being utilized and waste quantities recorded appropriately. • Arrange the disposal of waste generated by site. • Act as point of contact for insurers regarding private injury claims. • Act as point of contact for external enforcement agencies (L.A., HSE, Fire Brigade). • Conduct audits and investigations. • Promote a positive Environmental, Health and Safety culture within the business at all levels.
